Frankie's away...

It's a right sad moment but we've finally figured it was inevitable and Frankie's leaving the Heroes to persue her studies and new band stuff in Newcastle's UniLand. She knows she'll always be Hero No.1 and I have her personally to thank for resurecting the band from the ashes when she first crashed on the scene with all talents blazing maybe 4 years ago now. She's probably blissfully unaware (due to her inexplicable humility) that it was her enthusiasm and sheer bloody brilliance that got me off me arse and I'll be forever in her debt...it can't have been an easy task.

Update...

Okay, so now Hazel and Dan are away too. It's all good news in that they're both doing their boffin thing at their chosen Unis (Cambridge and London) but that kinda leaves me and Lucie and try as we might we can't seem to get Drums and guitar to make the whole Heroes sound! So we're on the lookout for another all-singing, all slapping bassist and meanwhile will keep adding to the playlist and generally ticking over.

We'd like to wish Hazel and Dan all the best with their futures and say a mahoosive 'thanks' for playing a major part in the on-going Heroes saga. Hazel and I are co-participating in local Commitments tribute 'The Committed' (Hazel-vocals and Seags-guitar) so happily we're still playing together as time permits. As for the Heroes...watch this space!

Update II...

We're delighted to say that Charlii Allen is to be the new Heroes bassist. Charlii is shown (above pic, middle) playing sax with us at Martin Newells Golden Afternoon 2007. More news to follow...
